The Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule (PFS) was released in early November and it’s nearly 3,000 pages have lots of information on diverse topics. Although the information is from the Centers for Medicare Medicaid Services (CMS), many insurances follow the lead of them. There are many pages of information on the revisions CPT has made to the Other Evaluation and Management services for 2023 but also a diverse list of other topics/benefits.
This year’s changes include the areas of Dental and Oral Health Services, Prolonged Services, Split Shared Visits, Telehealth, Behavioural Health Services and Chronic Pain Management. Colorectal Cancer Screening will see updates and Audiologist will see an expansion of services. There are also new “G” codes for Remote Therapeutic Monitoring. Lots and lots of information. Join us for this information-packed webinar to know more about these codes, our expert speaker, Jill M. Young, CEMA, CPC, CEDC, CIMC, will talk about the updates and any other CMS changes.
Each year when CMS/Medicare releases this information, offices need to take a serious look at what affects their practice. Many times, as is the case with Remote Therapeutic Monitoring, CMS has a conflict with CPT’s presentation of the codes or the guidelines. CMS then announces its utilization of G Codes or they identify differing guidelines on how the codes should be selected and billed from what CPT states. You should not find out you are not up to date on code information because you have received rejections from payment. This is an overview, fast paced presentation that should not be missed.
